Introduction

At born2smile, we are trying various workflows to make 3D printed dentures. Currently, we are using modified Geneva protocol CAD/CAM technology. The steps of the process and the materials used can be changed as we move forward. For example, we are starting with Joe Massad trays and PVS elastomers for impressions to simplify the process. Once we streamline the workflow, we may opt to more economical trays and materials.

Currently we are using wax rims for bite registration and 3D print try in dentures. Later we may for go from the impressions directly to try in dentures and do the bite registration on the try ins.

Similarly, we are 3D printing Monoblock dentures for the simplicity. Later we may print gums separately and all the teeth as one piece (Teeth in arch) and bond them, which we think is the fastest and the cheapest way of 3D printing dentures.

To make it easier for the students, we color coded the workflow.
